How to organize sensors and spaces

Conserv's web application has several options for grouping spaces and sensors together.

Conserv's customers often have complex needs around how their spaces are organized, and how sensors are placed within those spaces. To support these needs, Conserv uses the concept of "Spaces". Spaces are just that, spaces in which things live and in which sensors may be used to measure things. Spaces can also contain other spaces, which can be helpful in organizing large fleets of sensors. To create a space, start with the menu in the top right corner (by your name) and select the "Organization" option. That will take you to a page that lists all of the facilities in your organization:

To view the spaces in a facility, click on the facility name to view its detail page:

From here, you can click "Create New Space" to add a new space to your list. Spaces can be added to an existing space as a child, or directly to the facility as a top level space.

That's it! After you click "Save Changes", your new space is all set up and is ready for sensors to be assigned.
