Set Up a New Space

Learn how to create and configure a new space in Conserv Cloud using the space editor.

Table of Contents

Before You Begin

Note: If this space belongs to a location that does not yet exist in Conserv Cloud, create that location first before proceeding.

Create a New Space

  1. Navigate to the Sensors page by clicking the top icon in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the + button in the lower left corner of the page.
  3. Select Add a Space.
A space editor drawer opens from the right side of the page.
  4. Complete the fields in the space editor as described below.

Space Name

Enter a name for the space. Names should reflect the physical space, for example, "Dutch Gallery" or "Paintings Vault."

Tip: Spaces represent enclosed areas such as rooms, showcases, or partitioned gallery sections. If a showcase exists within a room, create a separate space for each. Accurate space setup is essential for establishing expected levels and pest management analytics.

Level Profile

Select a Level Profile from the dropdown to assign it to this space. To create a new Level Profile, click the icon to the right of the dropdown. Conserv Cloud will open the Levels page in a new browser tab.

Location

Select the location this space belongs to from the dropdown.

Type

Select the space type from the dropdown. Options include standard space classifications for collections environments.

Sensitivity

Select the appropriate sensitivity level for the space. Use higher sensitivity designations for spaces with more critical collections; lower designations are appropriate for public or non-collections areas.

Enter any relevant notes about this space.
