Connecting Gateways to a Network
An Ethernet connection is available on the gateway but is not strictly required. The gateway can communicate entirely over the LTE cellular connection. For best results, place the gateway somewhere with strong mobile data coverage.
Ports and Protocols
You do not need to enable any inbound access through your firewall. The gateway needs only outbound access on a couple ports. For more details, see Gateway Port Requirements and Protocols.
Hosting Conserv Cloud
You do not need any local servers to host Conserv Cloud. Conserv Cloud is fully cloud-based, delivered as a software service.
Data Ownership
You own the data that comes into Conserv Cloud. Conserv may access your data to assist you with troubleshooting and support. For further information, see your Enterprise SaaS Agreement or Conserv's Terms of Service.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in multiple US-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers for redundancy and protection. Your information is securely stored and encrypted in AWS. The Conserv system is built in the cloud, and privacy and data security is top priority.
Data Encryption
AWS encryption at rest uses AES-256, ensuring robust security for stored data. Additionally, all messages from the sensors are encrypted with AES-128 and remain encrypted until they reach Conserv Cloud.
Integrations
Integrations can be complex and vary based on your specific needs. Custom integrations with Conserv's API are available for larger customers seeking tailored solutions.
Vendor Security Assessment
Conserv can help you with a vendor security assessment before you use our system. Due to the frequent changes in operating systems, databases, and patch levels, Conserv does not publish detailed internal information regarding security assessments. If you need to complete a security assessment before deploying Conserv in your organization, please open a support ticket. The Support Team can assist you with filling out the assessment, including HECVAT Lite forms.
Payment Data
Conserv does not store your payment data. Conserv uses trusted third-party providers to manage all payment information. Conserv does not store card details or any payment information in Conserv systems. Conserv does not process payments on web pages or over the phone. Instead, Conserv sends a secure payment link in your invoice for any transactions.
Software and Mobile App
Conserv Cloud operates entirely as a web-based application, meaning no desktop app or installed software is necessary. Conserv does offer a mobile app, supporting both Android and iOS platforms, but it is not required to use the system.
