The Conserv platform supports several types of measurement thresholds and alerts across most readings.
Conserv's real time monitoring tools have several advantages over disconnected, offline data loggers. One of the primary advantages is alerting! Setting up sensor alerts on the Conserv platform is simple. You'll need to know which sensor you wish to monitor, which reading from that sensor should drive the alerts, and the alert criteria. For example, you may wish to set alerts when the relative humidity in a space falls outside of a defined safe range, or when the temperature in a space exceeds the recommended maximum.
Conserv supports four types of basic alerts on sensor readings:
- Above a maximum value
- Below a minimum value
- Outside of a specified range
- Inside a specified range
To set up an alert, click on the alerts icon in the left navigation (the one that looks like an alarm clock). This will take you to page where you can create and manage your alerts.
To create a new alert, click the blue plus sign button in the bottom left corner of the page.
To configure a new alert, you'll need to provide a few things. First, the alert needs a name. This is the name that you'll see when notifications arrive, so it should be something that makes sense to you.
Second, you should select the space that contains the sensor you wish to alert on, and which sensor within that space is of interest. Third, you'll need to set up who should be notified when the alert is triggered. You can select either SMS or email notifications through your Profile page in the Settings menu (app.conserv.io/settings)
Finally, you can select the individual sensor reading that should trigger the alert, and set the alert criteria. Once this is complete, you can click "Save changes" to create the alert.
Once the alert has been set up, you will be able to see it on your graphs by selecting "Show Alerts" under the "Additional" tab on the left side of the page. Once selected, the alert will appear as a dotted red line on your graph.
To edit or delete a configured alert:
Head over to the Alerts page by clicking the clock-shaped icon in the left navigation panel, and locate the alert in the list that you'd like to edit or delete. Once you've found the alert, follow that row to the far right and click the three dots. This will bring up a menu with two options: "Edit Alert Configuration" and "Delete Alert Configuration."
Follow the prompts to edit or delete an alert, and remember to save your changes!
