LWL02 Leak Detector Specifications

Technical details on the Dragino LWL02 leak detector

Table of Contents

Basic details

The Dragino LWL02 works on the same LoRaWAN network as Conserv's Smart Collection Sensors (SCS). When it detects water between the two metal probes, the LWL02 will trigger a water leak event and send an uplink to IoT server via LoRaWAN network.

The LWL02 uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries, which the manufacturer indicates will result in a 2-10 year battery life (depending on how often it checks in with the network). For a 10 year life, it checks in once every 24 hours. Conserv changes this factory setting to check in every 90 minutes, which brings the battery life to around 3 years.
